WWII 1944 British MKIIA Light Anti Gas Respirator Mask with 60mm Filter Bag Manual
Vintage WWII 1944 Dated British MKIIA Light Anti-Gas Respirator Gas Mask, Size Normal (Medium). Includes 60mm Filter, Original Bag and Danish M/45 Manual. I think the filter is post war, marked 53. I believe the bag is original WWII era but markings are faded and can’t make out date if there is one. Some of these masks were exported to the Danish Armed Forces after WWII and designated the M/45 there and this one has Danish import markings as well as the manual in Danish. Condition: The mask rubber, filter and metal parts are in amazing condition for age, the thick rubber is still pretty supple and no cracking/tearing/dry rot is observed, it has some dust/dirt in spots. The head strap is made of elastic fabric and while intact, is in rough to fair shape with staining and moderate wear, it doesn’t seem like it would tear or anything but I don’t think it’s in wearable condition and I would be careful when adjusting the straps.
