The CBRN filter has a P100 portion is classified by North that it will protect against all known biological agents. It is still effective and DOES NOT technically expire for biological threats such as viruses, it is a HEPA style filter component and would not be ineffective until it would be clogged from use. Works for what you may need it for now, and is a good piece of mind to be covered for almost all other threats as well if need be. Most experts state that expired filters can still work even for CBRN protection (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear) far after the exp date if unopened and stored properly.
