The Mark series is a Britian design that was produced and provided to the Britian soldiers and Britian controlled territories/countries/areas. The mask was solely used for militarized combat. This specific model was found in Canada so it’s undoubtably a legitimate Canadian soldier issued mask that survived the decades. It’s a Mark IV (modified version) which was a slightly less common model. To explain the difference, the modified version’s facepiece is shaped slightly different to accomodate more face sizes but it’s so slight that, that isn’t noticable. What is the noticable difference to easily ID between the original and modified Mark IV is the modified version has a. Has a slightly shortened hose that’s just rubber, without canvas covering.
