This is an authentic WW1 U. M1917 SBR gas mask. Given how old it is, it’s in pretty decent condition. Aside from the expected wear and tear, there’s a rip in the hose (pictured) and rust/paint is flaking off. The material/fabric is soft and pliable and I’ve had it sitting in storage since I got it a few years ago.

One eye piece is cracked as seen in picture but structurally intact, also the black interior lining is flaking so be aware of that. The mask’s structure has been squished but isn’t in danger of falling apart. Original WWI gas mask with head straps. Flexible cloth-covered breathing hose. Original green-painted filter canister. Original instruction booklet: “This Envelope Contains Instructions, Record Card, Tape for Repairs”.

This listing offers a RARE original German gas mask set from World War II, complete with its steel carrying canister, respirator, and filter. This is a genuine wartime issue item, not a reproduction. Preserved in good very nice condition. Original wartime paint still visible on the canister and mask. Includes respirator, filter and metal carrying canister. Inside the lid of the canister are the original spare anti-fog eye lenses, rarely found intact today. Filter carries eagle acceptance marking and factory stamps, confirming authenticity will send additional pictures if necessary. Canister with original fittings and closure mechanism fully functional. This set is a rare survivor of the war period, complete and with details that are often missing on other examples.
