Listing is for a Vintage 1942 MK IV Service Respirator. Genuine Issue WWII Respirator! The UK’s Service Respirator series consisted of a handful of models that were the standard issue respirators for both themselves, Canada, Australia and a handful of other allies countries that couldn’t produce their own equipment during WWII. The later Service Respirator variants such as in this listing were a fairly basic design but it was very modern for the time. This specific model was the last of the canvas covered, something that had been outdated for the time, the MK V that came out about the same time this one was produced, were a much more modern mask by simply removing the stockinette (canvas) and adding a port to the side that could be tapped into for all sorts of comms equipment.
