Vintage Scottoramic Gas Mask Respirator Kit – Complete w/ Bag & Instructions. Produced in Lancaster, NY. This full-face respirator features a wide “Panoramic” face lens, attached to filter canister, original carry bag, and instruction sheet, making it a complete set. Masks were made in 1950s-1970s (Cold-War era style) commonly used for civil defense, industrial safety, and emergemcy preparedness. Not military, instead was an “everyday protection gear” during the Cold War for fear of nuclear fallout and industrial disasters.

I was told by the estate of this soldiers family that he was a flamethrower in the US Army. I can’t seem to find this exact model so it may have been issued just for flamethrowers. Green in color Dated 1952 and has a H under that with X1 or XL. This vintage gas mask and respirator set from the US Army during the Korea War is a must-have for any militaria collector. Vintage Israeli Gas Mask + 8 Swiss Zivilschutzfilter 68 Canisters NewithSurplus
Up for sale is a vintage gas mask collector’s lot featuring a black rubber Israeli-style facepiece and a bulk set of Swiss Civil Defense filters. 1 x Gas Mask: Black rubber construction with large eye lenses and adjustable 5-point rubber strap harness. This appears to be the standard Israeli civilian protective mask (Model 4A1). It is in excellent cosmetic condition with no signs of use. 8 x Filter Canisters. Model: “Zivilschutzfilter 68″ (Swiss Civil Defense Filter). Condition: All are vintage unused stock. Seals: 7 filters still have their original lead wire security seals intact. 1 filter is new/unused but has a broken seal. Extras: One filter includes a white plastic carrying handle attached. Cosmetic: The mask rubber is pliable and the lenses are clear. The canisters have some light dust/shelf wear from long-term storage but are in solid shape. Vintage filters can expire or degrade over time.
