&####127464;&####127462; Canadian C4 Gas Mask dated November 1992 by Airboss size Medium. The C4 Gas Mask was developed in the early 1980s as a replacement for the older Light Anti-Gas Respirator (C3) style of masks, with the C4 being more reminiscent of the M40 series Protective Mask. The C4 mask had been scheduled to begin being replaced by the new C5 mask, also known as the Airboss LBM, but due to major Production difficulties this mask was put on the back burner and the C4 had continued to see Service, though the C5 is reported to be making a comeback at some point. The C4 mask features convex dual polycarbonate lenses which provides a very nice field of vision when wearing the mask, though soldiers have reported that this mask suffers from the same fish eye effect that the S6 and S10 suffer from which can cause Nausea and Disorientation. The filter for this is a stand-in British Protector EuroCanister AXP3.

Listing is for a Canadian Mark IV Issued Box Respirator Gas Mask with unusual Carrier Bag. Genuine UK Produced, Canadian Issue Mask (acquired in Canada). The Mark series is a Britian design that was produced and provided to the Britian soldiers and Britian controlled territories/countries/areas. The mask was solely used for militarized combat. This specific model was found in Canada so it’s undoubtably a legitimate Canadian soldier issued mask that survived the decades. It’s a Mark IV (modified version) which was a slightly less common model. To explain the difference, the modified version’s facepiece is shaped slightly different to accomodate more face sizes but it’s so slight that, that isn’t noticable. What is the noticable difference to easily ID between the original and modified Mark IV is the modified version has a. Has a slightly shortened hose that’s just rubber, without canvas covering. Listing is for a Vintage 1942 MK IV Service Respirator. Genuine Issue WWII Respirator! The UK’s Service Respirator series consisted of a handful of models that were the standard issue respirators for both themselves, Canada, Australia and a handful of other allies countries that couldn’t produce their own equipment during WWII. The later Service Respirator variants such as in this listing were a fairly basic design but it was very modern for the time. This specific model was the last of the canvas covered, something that had been outdated for the time, the MK V that came out about the same time this one was produced, were a much more modern mask by simply removing the stockinette (canvas) and adding a port to the side that could be tapped into for all sorts of comms equipment.
