The SF10 differs from the commonly found British Army S10 respirator in that it utilizes flat eyepieces, which can accept easily removed tinted outsert lenses, and can be fitted with an internal microphone in place of the drinking device. SF10 Respirator is only used by British SAS (Special Air Service-a specialist regiment of the British army that is trained in commando techniques of warfare and used in clandestine operations, especially against terrorist groups) and few other foreign special forces. Brand New AVON SF10 Respirator Gas mask. The SF10 NBC Respirator was the protective gas mask issued to the British Special Forces (SAS) from the 1986 up until the introduction of the FM12 respirator, after which it was withdrawn from service. Avon SF10 model differs from the commonly found S10 Avon Respirator that was used by British Armed Forces: It doesn’t have a drinking attachment found in S10 model, it also utilizes flat lenses that allow a wider field of vision and use of dark tinted outserts. SF10 has TWO inlet ports (one on each side of the mask), that allows use by left or right handed shooters. The filter mount can be switched from side to side for left or right hand shooters.
