I was told by the estate of this soldiers family that he was a flamethrower in the US Army. I can’t seem to find this exact model so it may have been issued just for flamethrowers. Green in color Dated 1952 and has a H under that with X1 or XL. This vintage gas mask and respirator set from the US Army during the Korea War is a must-have for any militaria collector. US M17 A2 Gas Mask MSA w/ Filter Canvas Bag. Unused, New Old Stock in the original cardboard box. Contents show storage wear, bag has some patina / Corrosion on metal and carry bag shows scuffs over and shows some discoloration on straps. The black plastic mask holder shows some dents in. The box has been opened and shows dings, dents, dirt and staining over. Gas Mask filter bag shows staining over. Overall in very good condition.
