Scott and most other CBRN filters have a P3/P100 portion is classified by North that it will protect against all known biological agents and biological threats such as viruses, it is a HEPA style filter component and would not be ineffective until it would be clogged from use. Note on size listed as Med/Lg. In regards to sizing, Scott offers conflicting info. It may be a US vs EU difference, but the boxes on masks show either size 2 or size 3. Size 2 is a Lg for US sizes. The EU chart on websites shows size 2 as “Med/lg”, and size 1 as L. Unless you have a really large or long face, size 2 should fit best and size 1 would not be needed. I do not have size 1. That is also what I was told from EU distributor as well. However, Med/Lg honestly makes more sense than calling it L in my opinion. Other masks tend to be more specific, this size fits a little more universal. The reason I say that, is that I wear a lg in Avon C50, my son a small. We both fit tested the Frr for fit and seal, and size 2 fits both of us well. The Med Avon I had bought orig for my son was too big, so we got him a small. The med was way to tight for me (under chin mainly) so I bought a large. Unless you have a very smaller face, the size 2 in this Frr mask I would say would fit well. If you normally would wear a small or med in another brand, I would go with a size 3 med here.
