You are looking at a British Civilian Duty Respirator (Known as a BCD or CDR) dated 1946. A lot of time and effort went into this mask to clean, restore and preserve its History. The mask itself is in fabulous condition. The straps are in great condition as well they are still stretchy, but new owner must be carful as they are 80 plus years old, please be very carful and know what you are doing, allow there to be plenty of slack before pulling or tightening and do so carefully. They are very long as well, but can pull them through the head harness to make shorter. The back head harness that the straps are fed into is in perfect condition, still very flexible and rubbery. When it comes to the filter, it is the original filter and it has been sealed shut so nothing will leak out of it. If you want to wear, you must remove filter or replace with a 3D printed or a filter that is safe. It is safe for displaying. Also still has the awesome stamp on it. The lenses, lens caps, flapper valve are all in new brand new condition. Very rare for masks this age. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask.
