Was the standard issue American gas mask during the late years of WWI, the design was based off of the British Small Box Respirator (SBR), using the best features in it’s design and improving others, then, the American CEM was born. Technically speaking the C. Is basically just a canvas bag that has a paper thin rubber coating on the inside, two lenses to see out of, with a nose peg / mouthpiece system. The nose peg/clamp blocks the user from breathing through the nose, forcing breathing through the mouthpiece which is directly connected to the hose which leads to the filter. The filter would sit in a bag which would rest against the user’s chest. Comes from a Smoke-Free and Pet-Free home. Feel free to ask questions!
