You are looking at a British Civilian Duty Respirator (Known as a BCD or CDR) dated 1940. A lot of time and effort went into this mask to clean, restore and preserve its History. The mask itself is in fabulous condition. The straps are in good condition they are still stretchy, but new owner must be carful as they are 80 plus years old, please be very carful and know what you are doing, allow there to be plenty of slack before pulling or tightening and do so carefully. Please see pictures for the details. The head harness piece that the straps feed into is still very flexible and in great condition. When it comes to the filter, it is the original filter and it has been emptied out, no contents remain inside. It is safe for displaying, or for wear. The lenses, lens caps, flapper valve are all in new brand new condition. Very rare for masks this age. It comes with the original carrying bag that is in fabulous condition, it is just missing a button which can be easily fixed. As well as extra accessories.
