They do not interfere with vision in any real way other lens scratch/abrasion free. Rubber is excellent, no cracking or issues. White is talc put on in production for rubber integrity. This is the SF10 which is the special forces version of the S10. SF10 has two filter capacity with a plug for side not used. There is no drinking tube. Also has larger stronger polycarbonate flat lenses. It is not intended for use as safety equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), or for any type of breathing protection. Vintage or surplus filters may contain hazardous materials (such as asbestos or chromium).
